Today (Wednesday) was my medium day on my current program of clean and presses plus conditioning. Here’s what it looked like:
5 clean and press ladders, reps of 1-3
7 minutes of 2-hand swings, 70-80% effort
Again I decided on the 7 minutes by a roll of the dice, and I did 145 kettlebell swings in that time. It was great.
As for the clean and presses, I’m really growing fonder of that particular exercise. I’m already seeing progress on the lift, and I’ve only been at this program for a week. I’ve done this workout four times, and been pleased with the results. The clean and presses make me stronger, and the swings and snatches are keeping me winded. Good combination. So far, I’ve yet to roll a 12 on the swings or snatches. When I do, I’ll have to swing or snatch for 12 minutes, resting little. I guess my time is coming….
