I’m in the last week of this plan, which is probably good, if for no other reason than the fact that I’m out of innovative ways to present the same workout in the subject heading. It was the middle (medium) day, and it looked like this:
Workout:
5 Kettlebell Clean and Press Ladders, up to 3 reps
Roll a pair of dice to determine the number of minutes to do kettlebell swings with 70-80% effort.
I did find on the ladders (I’m getting stronger, slowly). On the swings, I rolled a 6. Since I only rolled a 6 I decided to use the 70# kettlebell. For 70-80% effort, I elected to do 15 swings every minute on the minute and rest for the duration. Each round took right at 30 seconds, leaving me 30 seconds to rest. It was a short workout that I was able to do in our family room.
I like the variety in rolling the dice, but the monotony of the clean and presses is getting to me. I do like the clean and presses, but I’d rather incorporate them amid some other work rather than having them be the primary focus three times per week. I anticipated this would happen, but it’s okay; I have actually seen progress on the clean and press, which is encouraging.
Later on today, I’ll rock some Turkish get-ups. Good times. 🙂
