Kettlebell Clean and Presses and Snatches…Because I Can

On Thursday I did a morning workout involving some clean and presses and snatches.  It was similar to what I was doing weeks ago, but I was able to enjoy it more because I was doing it completely voluntarily rather than simply because it was prescribed.  In truth, I did it because, again, my car remained in the garage and my weights were inaccessible.  And I love getting a good workout with minimal equipment.

Workout:

5 Kettlebell Clean and Press Ladders up to 3 reps (resting one minute between ladders)

Roll a pair of dice to determine the number of minutes to do Kettlebell Snatches

I used a 53# bell for the clean and presses, and it was challenging with the shorter rest. I also decided to use a 40# bell for the snatches so I could do more reps.  I rolled and 8 and went for it.  I didn’t count my total reps, but I will say that it is much easier to snatches with a 40# bell than the 53#.

I felt good afterward, and I think I’ll revisit the snatches with a 40# bell very soon.
