Forging Strong Shoulders and Pulling Power!

On Wednesday I enjoyed a great combination of pushing and pulling work.  By the end, my shoulders and upper pecs were pretty tired and I had done 60 pull-ups, so my back and biceps were pretty tired, too.  It was a nice change of pace, and easy on the lungs. 🙂

Workout:

Five rounds:

Clean & press ladders, up to three reps, left and right

Two pull-ups for each clean and press

So here’s what that means.  A “ladder” involves doing one clean and press rep left, then one right, then two pull-ups.  Then two C&P’s left, two right, four pull-ups.  Then three  C&P’s left, three right, six pull-ups.  End round one.  Repeat through five rounds.
