Ten Rounds with a 70#Kettlebell:
KB Squat and Press – 5 reps
KB 2-hand Swing – 10 reps
When the clock hits zero, each new round begins. Ten rounds, each on the minute for ten minutes.
I’m the guinea pig. When I did this workout earlier this week, I used a 7o# kettlebell, and today my legs are a bit sore, but I feel pretty good for the most part. Each round took me right about 30 seconds, giving me about 30 seconds of rest before the next round started. It’s my second time doing this workout; the first was in September. I can’t say I felt much better this time than last. Pretty whooped after round ten. Warmed up with some jumping jacks, prisoner squats and pushups to get the blood flowing. Finished with some stretches and a bit of brisk walking to cool down around the cul-de-sac.
If you want to try this workout yourself, scale the weight appropriately for your fitness level. It should be challenging, though. You’re doing 100 swings and 50 squat-and-presses in ten minutes.
