This evening I did 8 minutes of Turkish get-ups with a 24kg/53# kettlebell in anticipation of my heavy day tomorrow.
Few exercises demand both strength and stamina like Turkish get-ups. All I have been doing lately is alternating reps, starting with my left (weak) side, one at a time, resting as little as possible and working for the determined time. I focus hard on keeping my shoulder packed (at this point more for developing muscle memory and preventing injury than for strength, though it accomplishes all those) and pausing at each position, making sure to have a tight core. That’s all; pretty simple. And I’ve been satisfied with the results. I feel like I’m getting stronger, judging by my endurance, and I consistently work up a sweat by just a few minutes of work.
