Please pray for my high school right now.
I just turned on my TV and heard the word “Pilchuck” on a newsflash. First thing I thought was “school shooting”. I hate that I was right. Where is the world going?
Friday during lunch at 10:39am, someone opened fire. It looks like a student brought a gun to school and began shooting in the main cafeteria (MP has a couple of cafeterias). The one and only shooter, Jaylen Fryberg, 14 is dead from a self-inflicted gun shot wound. Zoe Raine Galasso, 14 was confirmed dead at the scene. With great sadness I report that Gia Soriano, 14 died Sunday in the hospital. Praise the Lord, Nate Hatch, 14 is now in satisfactory condition. Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, 14 and Andrew Fryberg, 15 are still in critical condition. Please pray for these last three.
Almost every Friday I run through Marysville-Pilchuck High School. I was all set to go that day~but I had to change gears. I love that big old campus. I have been a student in the district since 1st grade. My mom went here. My grandma went here. I have taught and then subbed in the district. I came in and worked with the band director last year. I drive by it almost daily. So hard to think that my school has been violated. I always cry and pray for the different school shooting that have happened through the years. Now it is here. In little Marysville, Washington. My heart aches. No words can express…
All I know is that God is in control and sovereign over all.
God please comfort, heal, and strengthen these hurting and bring them to Yourself. Amen. So much to pray for.

Our prayers are with the families and the community. We live 30mins away from Marysville. My cousin’s daughter attends that high school. We are thankful that she was not physically hurt.
Sonja says
Thank the Lord your cousin’s daughter is okay! Just so unbelievable….

I was sorry to hear about it, too, even though I’m way over in Michigan. It seems our country and most of the world have gone completely crazy and we’re spinning out of control. I think the Bible predicts this for the end times, but most of us didn’t think we’d ever see it. I pray God will have mercy on our country and lead us back to Him.
Sonja says
Yes, mercy. How we need Him!
