Sonja is always saying, “It’s not about how much you have, it’s what you do with what you have.” The key here is living within your means. In our age of hedonistic consumerism, it takes discipline to tell yourself, “I can’t afford this,” and then walk away, or even to answer yourself honestly when asking yourself, “Do I need this?”
Start with small changes, so it’s not overwhelming.
Sonja does use coupons, but it is more infrequent as now we are buying more whole foods that just have one ingredient, and it turns out there aren’t lots of coupons for those…but Lord willing, someday….
It’s pretty simple, in theory, really: spend less than you make, and you’ll be well on your way to financial happiness. It might be harder to apply.
