3 Ingredient Crock-pot Bean Dip & 2 Crock-pot Cookbooks

For this installment of my Slow Cooker Saturdays Series I am blogging over at Stacy Makes Sense where I am sharing a recipe for Crock-pot Bean Dip.

Slow Cooker Saturdays

3 Ingredient Crock-pot Bean Dip

This crock-pot bean dip is perfect for all of those championship and bowl games that go on through the fall and early winter.

3 Ingredient Crock-pot Bean Dip

The best part of the bean dip recipe is that it’s just 3 ingredients. Or may be the best part is that it’s made of refried beans, so the base of the recipe is tasty, healthy AND frugal, too.

I make it two ways, a dairy version using cheddar cheese for the fan and a dairy-free, vegan version using cashew-based nacho “cheese” for myself.

If you like what we do at practical-stewardship with the focus of frugality, food and fitness through faith, you’ll love what Stacy and her husband Barry do at Stacy Makes Sense. They are funny and they tell it like it is. I hope you all go head on over and visit Stacy to check out the 3 Ingredient Crock-pot Bean Dip and her blog.

Also, Stacy just released a great new Crock-pot e-book called Keep Crockin’, a Poorganic Slow Cooker Cookbook. I don’t know how she does all she does! I just got the book, and I love that it has a lot of unique recipes! 55 new recipes in fact. We have made the Curried Chicken Soup and the Thai Chicken. My only complaint is that we didn’t have leftovers! Plus it’s only $8. Go here if you are interested.

Also, Stacy’s first cookbook, Crock On, is available for $5! Crock On has 40 unique recipes.  So check ’em out, and crock on, folks!

Have you made homemade nacho “cheese” before?
