No Cook Blender Apple Sauce~a SUPER quick and easy way to make apple sauce.
I LOVE easy recipes, and this no cook apple sauce rivals for the top of my mental “easy recipes list”. It almost can’t be called a recipe. The “core” of the recipe is just apples. Ha, ha. I made a funny (I am not funny, so this is a step in the right direction). Anyway, you should have at least two apples to get the blender going. Blend it up and there you have it. I usually make it with just apples and cinnamon.
If you have a Vitamix or a Blendtec, this no cook apple sauce recipe can be made in 5 minutes or less, depending on how many apples you are peeling. Although if you don’t peel the apples, you can have apple sauce in less than two minutes, most likely. I have made this recipe a few times with the peels left on before, but I do prefer the texture without the peels.
Honestly, I like cooked apple sauce better. Just keepin’ it real. But we always have apples on hand, so I love making my apple sauce raw when I am in a pinch. I tend to get into a lot of pinches, or I paint my way into a corner too many times. So this “recipe“ has saved me more than once! This way I don’t have to run to the store if I run out of apple sauce, if I have to wait for apple sauce to defrost, if I need baby food on the fly, or if I have a sick child. This raw apple sauce can be made at any time. Oh yeah.
I don’t normally cook with apple sauce as an oil substitute, so I can’t say how it would work in that situation, but it’s worth a shot. Let me know if you ever try it. I did turn one big batch of raw apple sauce into cooked apple butter once and its worked.

Or for a cooked apple sauce, try slow cooker apple sauce. I use this recipe with big batches of apples.
Do you really need a high powered blender?

Well, I like the tartness and nutritional benefits of leaving the skins on. Using Gala apples. I elected to use our food processor, as getting blended food our of our Vitamix unit is a bit of a chore. First time I tried this recipe I used a Bullit Mini-blender and one apple for a last minute applesauce necessity. Turned out great. And the grandkids didn’t know it wasn’t store bought. Though they did ask about the brown color, which I blamed on the Cinnamon. You just cannot beat this fresh apple flavor!

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, cinnamon does darken it! 😉
