This easy guacamole recipe comes together quickly, and is much more tasty, frugal and fresh than store-bought guac.
My dad loves to have guacamole. My sister and I grew up having it all of the time. And even to this day, if we are having a family dinner at my house, no matter what the theme of the dinner is (pizza, pasta, chicken, soup, birthday, etc…), he’ll usually bring some avocados and tomatoes to make guacamole. We love it, and we don’t complain of the variety of cuisine.
If you have never made guacamole, it’s time to give it a shot! It hardly takes any time at all, and it taste so much more fresh than what you can buy at the store.
We love having guac on bean burritos, enchiladas, super burritos, or just as a side with chips and salsa. So good…
Make sure you taste it before you serve. Does it need more salt? Don’t be afraid to add a little more. How about more lemon or lime juice? The citrus is undeniably present in my best guans, so make sure you can taste it.
The Verdict: This has been a family staple over the years, we make it all the time, and we all love it! Even my avocado-avoiding kids love this tasty and easy guacamole recipe.

Just made this last night and it is amazing! It tastes sooo much better than the one we buy which I just realised is actually “guacamole STYLE topping” and has barely even seen an avocado! Will be making this from now on. Thank you!

Something I like to do is also add some fresh, chopped up cilantro and I usually use fresh lime juice instead of lemon. So delicious!
Sonja says
Hi Katie, Cilantro is a great idea! I also sub lime for lemon juice at times. Thanks for sharing!

I just tried this recipe. It is good, but I find it to have slightly too much lemon juice and salt. But that’s for my tastes. Thought I’d share. Thank you for the recipe!

Hi Sarah, One of my daughters is a lover of all things lemon and sour, so we tend toward the sour. Feel free to reduce both as needed for the future. The great thing is you are making it from scratch. Thanks for sharing and visiting!
